Coventry come to Town

Well Coventry visit the Home of Football today in one of those games that I approach with a little trepidation. We know Arsenal are the better team. We know we ought to win with 22 legs tied around a bar stool, but somehow these post European games are always tricky. Coventry have a couple of class players in the Morrocans Hadji and Chippo, and if there is any sluggishness in the Arsenal back four, they are just the players to cause a few problems. At least Adams and Bergkamp should be as fresh as newly laid chickens and Dennis in particular will be desperate to impress. It must be very strange for him. Fighting for his place for possibly the first time in his career? I'm also looking forward to the welcome Silvhino gets today after his masterful goal in Prague on Tuesday. Oh, and I hope we get behind Henry a little more today. We seem to have gone a bit quiet on him lately? Gordan Strachan says Coventry will come Highbury to attack. Well, that would be a first! I predict we'll be aware of the trip hazard and will fight through the tiredness barrier to win the three points in a scrappy, but ultimately satisfying game. 1-0 to the Arsenal? |
