Bank of Friendship, Blackstock Road

The trick with the Bank of Friendship is to get in there early, get a seat around the other side and stay there with a constant stream of Guinness until quarter to three. Get in late, and youčll be pushing through a brick wall of humanity. As it gets so packed, the Bank has a door-person which usually I find off-putting in a pub. Not here. This is one door youčd love to get frisked at. If only all bouncers could be as good looking and friendly! It is worth making the effort to get early enough for the Bank. The beer is always excellent, and the beer garden is an oasis away from the crush.
