The Auld Triangle

Auldtriangle

The Auld Triangle is on the corner of Plimsoll Road and St. Thomasıs Road. 0171 354 2869

In the shadow of the new North Bank Stand, The Auld Triangle is always alive with Gooners who donıt fancy breaking sweat to make kick-off on time. It is often still refered to as 'The Plimsoll' though the landlord Gerry Scanlan has made his mark on the pub, and it has had a timely face-lift. For a relatively small pub, it serves huge numbers of drinkers on match day, with half of the punters standing out on St Thomasıs Road. If the thought of battling your way through the crowd is a bit off-putting, donıt worry the service is very quick. To save time every pint is rounded up or down to £2. This may be bad news if you are a skinflint who is into the cheapest, weak bitter, but if you fancy downing a few strong lagers youıre quids in. A pint of Kronenburg for £2 is cheap on any occasion, but for matchdays it is one of the best bargains around. Gerry guarantees friendly service, a pub full of Arsenal fans and not a hint of trouble.
